Peer learning has been considered as one of the most effective methodologies for learning and growth. Right from the days of Greek and Roman civilization as well as Indian Mythology, there have been countless stories of how people were imparted skills and crafts of all kinds in ‘Cohorts’. The term ‘cohort’ once used for Roman Military units, finds its frequent usage in the management parlance in the corporations. Cohorts create a unique learning atmosphere, where there is a distribution of learning obstacles. Cohorts provide inherent social motivation and a healthy spirit of competitiveness that provokes people to step out of their shells and experiment.
